We are excited to report that the VDRC's Dr. Joshua Miele and Korie Michalak are scheduled to present *Video Description for the 21st Century: Developing Accessible Instructional Video Technologies to Support Learners with Visual Disabilities,* this Wednesday July 25th at the US Office of Special Education Programs' Project Directors' Conference in Washington DC. This year's schedule is organized around the theme of Social Media. The conference creates an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase OSEP- backed projects that promote educational access for children with disabilities nationwide. The annual gathering allows project directors to mingle and share their resources with each other and Department of Education staff, as well as build professional partnerships and technical support networks to benefit future special ed projects and policy decisions.

On Wednesday morning VDRDC Director Dr. Miele will explore the many benefits of creating and implementing video description for use with instructional media in the classroom for students who are blind or visually impaired.
