CaptionMax is a leader in the area of described and captioned educational materials, and is a pioneer in technology to improve accessibility of DVD materials. In addition to ongoing advice and assistance as a DLN Partner, CaptionMax assists with dissemination and outreach to their unparalleled community of educational description stakeholders. CaptionMax also provides the description segments used to evaluate the experimental technologies under development at the VDRDC, and provides captioning and other media services as needed for DLN meetings, events, focus groups, and trainings.

Max Duckler will oversee the audio description contract work and other consulting services provided by CaptionMax to the Video Description Research and Development Center. Mr. Duckler will be an invaluable resource to the Center’s Description Leadership Network and to the Principal Investigator due to his enormous experience and technical expertise in the fields of description and captioning. Mr. Duckler is the President and CEO of CaptionMax, with over 30 years in the business of media arts, including print production, film, and video editing, and high-level management.
